The BISP 8171 Program has entered a new phase as of February 13, 2026. The government has officially rolled out the “Phase 2 Banking System,” which replaces the old agent-based campsites with direct bank transfers.

BISP 8171 Payment Overview (February 2026)
The quarterly stipend has been permanently increased to help families manage the current cost of living.

The New “6-Bank” Payment System
The biggest change in 2026 is the Direct Bank Transfer model. This was designed to stop “retailer deductions” where shopkeepers would illegally take Rs. 500–1,000 from beneficiaries.
- Biometric ATM Access: You no longer need a physical card to withdraw money. You can visit any biometric-enabled ATM of the partner banks (like HBL or Bank of Punjab), enter your CNIC, and use your thumbprint to withdraw the full Rs. 13,500.
- Digital Wallets: For the first time, beneficiaries in selected districts can receive their funds directly into JazzCash or Easypaisa wallets. Check your 8171 portal to see if you are “Wallet Eligible.”
Special Update: Ramzan Nighaban Relief 2026
With Ramadan starting in a few days (mid-February 2026), the Punjab Government has launched a separate relief package for BISP-registered families.
- Extra Cash: Eligible families will receive an additional Rs. 10,000.
- Free Ration Bag: Includes flour, sugar, pulses, and cooking oil delivered to your doorstep.
- How to Check: This is separate from BISP. Send your CNIC to 8070 to check your eligibility for the Nighaban Ramadan Package.

1. 8171 Web Portal (Best for Detailed Info)
Visit the upgraded 8171.bisp.gov.pk. The 2026 portal is faster and will tell you if your payment is “Ready for Collection” or if you need to “Update Survey.”
2. 8171 SMS Service (Instant Check)
Send your 13-digit CNIC to 8171.
Step-by-Step Registration (Dynamic Survey 2026)
If you are “Ineligible” but your income is below Rs. 60,000, follow these steps:
- Visit Office: Go to your local BISP Tehsil Registration Center.
- Documents: Take your Original CNIC and your children’s B-Forms.
- Interview: A representative will ask about your household assets, electricity bills, and family size.
- Verification: Your PMT (Poverty) score will be recalculated. If it is 32 or below, you will start receiving payments in the next quarter (April 2026).
